Information for AOL SubscribersThe information on this page applies to AOL 5 and earlier. If you are unable to view the HTML version of E-NewsThe e-mail reader included with AOL 5 and earlier is not compatible with HTML. When you view the HTML version of E-News, it may appear garbled, and strange characters may appear on the screen. This problem was corrected in AOL 6 and later. If you subscribe to the HTML version of E-News and use one of these earlier versions of AOL, you have three options:
How to view the HTML version in your AOL browserIf you follow the steps below, it is possible to view your e-mailed copy of HTML E-News in your AOL browser.
Don't be concerned that the content of the message is garbled.
A dialog will open in which you will be prompted for the name of the file and the folder to which you would like this issue of E-News to be saved. Using a different name for each issue of E-News prevents previous issues from being overwritten. When naming your file, be sure to end the name with
You are now ready to open E-News in your AOL browser. For the remaining steps, it is not necessary to be connected to AOL.
A dialog will open in which you will be prompted for the name of the file to which you saved E-News in Step 3.
The AOL browser will open and display the HTML version of E-News. |
